Terms and conditions
Plain terms, written to be read.
Who we are
Kavana is a trading name of Kavana Clinic Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17484323. Email [email protected].
Who our services are for
Adults aged 18 and over who live in England and are registered with a GP. We confirm identity, age and address before any clinical appointment. We may decline to provide a service if it would not be safe or suitable for you, and if so we will refund anything you have paid for that service.
Prices and payment
All prices are shown on our services page before booking and are the same for everyone. You pay when you book, or in instalments where offered. Memberships are paid monthly by Direct Debit, have no minimum term, and can be cancelled any time before the next payment date. Medicines are not included in any fee; they are dispensed and paid for at the pharmacy.
Your right to cancel
You can cancel any booking within 14 days of making it for a full refund. If you ask for an appointment to take place within those 14 days, you agree that the service can start, and we may charge for any part of it already provided. After 14 days:
- Appointments Can be moved free with at least 48 hours' notice. With less notice, or if you do not attend, we may charge the full appointment fee.
- Assessment Once the assessment appointment has taken place, the fee is not refundable, whatever the outcome.
- Titration package If you stop part way through, we refund the reviews not yet used, less the price of the starting appointment shown on our services page.
Clinical decisions
Diagnosis and prescribing are clinical decisions made by a registered clinician using national guidance. Paying for a service does not guarantee a diagnosis or a prescription. Our prescribing policy explains when we will and will not prescribe, including the need for your GP to be informed.
Shared care
We will ask your GP to take over prescribing once you are stable. Whether they agree is their decision, not ours. Before you book, we tell you what your local NHS area usually does.
Coaching
Coaching is not medical treatment and does not replace advice from a clinician.
Emergencies
Kavana is not an emergency service. If you need help urgently, contact your GP, call NHS 111, or in an emergency call 999.
Using this website
Articles and information on this website are general information, not medical advice for you as an individual. We try to keep them accurate and up to date but cannot guarantee that.
Complaints and the law
If you are unhappy, please use our complaints process. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights.
