Treatment (titration)

For people diagnosed through us or through a diagnosis review, if treatment is right for them.

  • A starting appointment with your prescriber
  • A review once a month while the dose is found, usually over 8 to 12 weeks
  • Blood pressure, pulse and weight checks
  • Prescriptions sent to a pharmacy you choose
  • A shared care request to your GP at the end

Book assessment and treatment together and it costs less than booking each separately.

Other costs to plan for

Are there any extra costs?

Medicines and occasional tests are paid for outside our fees, and we tell you what they are before anything is arranged.

  • Your medicines Paid at the pharmacy. On a private prescription this is usually about £25 to £160 a month, depending on the medicine, the dose, the pharmacy you use and what they have in stock. If your GP takes over under shared care, you pay only the standard NHS prescription charge instead, £9.90 per item, or nothing if you're exempt.
  • Occasional tests If your health history means one is needed before treatment: a heart trace (ECG), usually about £70 to £150 privately, or a blood test, usually about £35 to £70.

Estimates based on typical UK private prices in 2026. Exact costs depend on the medicine, the pharmacy and its stock, and where the test is done.
